central PA | My neighbor looses her dog for 30 days. Then someone sees the dog, but it is wild by then??? So, an expert traps the dog, with a large wire cage. The expert returns the dog to the original owner and tells her that once a dog is away from home for a length of time, out on its own, it becomes wild to survive, and will not respond even to the owner. Thus a trap was used to catch the dog. The dog has been re adjusted with the owner. Have others on this site heard this type of dog behavior. Doesn't seem right to me, since I have heard of dogs being separated from home for much longer periods than that, and found their way home. What say you???? |
