Subject: Land clearing equipment question

VA
I am looking for input on what would be the preferred setup for clearing land. I have upwards of 100 acres that could be cleared over the next couple years or sooner if I can get it done....Some of it is clear cut regrowth that has 2-4" trees, etc in it that looks like a jungle. The rest is hardwoods that I will have clearcut and the remainder chipped. I want to have it row croppable when I'm done so I'd prefer not to mulch it.

If I have a $50,000 budget, what would you buy? Dozer with root rake, excavator with thumb or older one of both? I have a skid loader and grapple already and two teenage boys who like running equipment. :)
I'm thinking all the above would be helpful... Which leads to another part of the question. How much better is a high track than an older dozer? Do I need to make my budget fit that or if I don't know better, I'll be fine with the old D6 from the 70's that I've run before?? I know the tractors are worth it...
Thanks.
