Subject: 9760 STS

Looking at trading a 9500 - 2500 seperator hours and a 9610- 1400 seperator hours for a 9760 STS with 350 seperator hours. A question for those of you that have owned some of the 10 series and older machines and traded for the 60 series. How do the repair costs on the newer rotary machines compare to the older machines. We send our machines through the winter inspection service at Deere every year. Last year we spent almost 10M on the two machines but I would say we average $7500.00 yearly for 750 hours use. This is service that takes trained people and equipment. We do all the small stuff and service intervqal stuff. On a thread below the comment was brought up when to trade machines. One comment was when the repair bills get larger than the interest on a loan for a different machine it is time to look at trading. The interest cost on a trade will be less than the average repair costs on the two older machines. Only question is how much will the repair costs be on the new machine as the hours pile up towards 1000. Thanks for your input.
