But to your question, it’s a 45-70 gov. The state passed some legislature a couple years ago allowing the use of straight wall center fire ammunition, in addition to using shotgun slugs.
So we can use the .444 marlin, .357 Winchester, 45-70 gov., and I believe the .450 bushmaster to hunt deer during the two shotgun seasons we have in Iowa.
Edit; changed Deere to deer, didn't want of my green underwear wearing neighbors to think I was gunning for them......
