It doesn’t get that cold here and the Columbia is a big, relatively fast moving river to freeze anyway. You should come out and see it, it’s nothing like the slow moving mud pools they call rivers in the plains states.

If you think the river is interesting, you really need to see Dry Falls and try to imagine what the river looked like during the last ice age.
