NE kansas
I have doubled the number of cows(or more) and graze a couple months longer now. It took a couple years but I saw results the first year. I still fertilize, better than I used too but see the payoff. On a year like this with no rain ground cover is a must for me. I am building better soil but still have very poor ground that dries out quick so locking in moisture is #1. My main grass is fescue which is pretty forgiving but see a lot of new grass showing up. I like longer recovery time, six months in some spots. I do like the move fast when the grass is growing fast and slow down as the growth or as the grass matures system.
