conventional grazing
What is that?
I would call conventional grazing just dumping out your cows on pasture in the spring and taking them off in the fall. I've split my pasture up into 2-4 sections and it helps out a lot, even in drought. I would call what I do rotational grazing and not intensive grazing. It seems that I have less weed and tree problems now, and my cows are very easy to handle. If I need to pen up my cows, I just trick them into thinking they are getting moved into the next paddock. I would say I only can run 10-15% more cows doing what I'm doing. | |
