| My point was, a few small old refineries can't possibly account for the 2.25 billion gallons of waivers. And why does an old and out of date refinery permanently get to avoid updating to become more efficient?
And besides, what does it matter the Oklahoma sits in a sea of oil without an ethanol plant? Kansas isn't that far away with 500 million gallons per year capacity, Colorado has 127 M, Texas with 385 M. There's plenty of ethanol nearby for Oklahoma to blend some.
And for that matter, Iowa is a lot closer to Oklahoma than the East Coast and a lot more ethanol gets shipped a lot further to get blended there. | |
