EC SoDak | As it pertains to ethanol, we aren’t really seeing an administration stepping up to bat for that industry. It actually seems to be quite the opposite, handing out waivers to profitable oil companies.
As with the other topics above I’ve written about, I’m looking more long term trend, not short term. I’m no where near retirement, so “it’s fine this year, the price is still better than last” is a mere blip. Same holds true with the admins tone with bio fuels. Do I think the industry is going bankrupt, no.
Edit to add: the future bright spot for ethanol and out corn was China’s push to grow the industry. Let’s see how that plays out.
