NW KS/ SC ID
Every company seems to have polar opposites, IDK if an engineer is to blame, or how the product came to be.

Gleaner L2s paid for many farms, 78 and 79 N6's tried to break a few guys

Versatile 895s paid for many farms, Versatile 555s tried to break many.

White 2-135/155s paid for many, early 4-150s tried to break many.

JD 4640s paid for many, 8640s tried to break many.

MF 1800s tried to break many, 4800-4900 paid for many.

A person needs to ask around and sift out the good from the bad, every company has at least one lemon. But sometimes if held onto long enough, the lemons become valuable due to rarity. V8 IHs, JD 8010/8020 4wds, D21 Allis, HFWA JDs, etc.

Blind brand loyalty is also a killer, a dealer that can have it fixed and out the door within the day and millions of $ of parts in stock seems to take priority over the equipment actually being worth a damn on this site. I want something that does not require a dealer to operate, and has good aftermarket support and minimal proprietary parts.

The general drift on this site is a 8630 JD needs to be bought over a 895 Versatile for drawbar work because JD has more parts available and a closer dealer.
