Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | Our 2840 has been solid. My dad bought it when there wasn’t financial room to get anything else, and it got a lot of work done for a lot of years with very little trouble. More than 40 years later, it’s still earning its keep.
The tractors that nearly broke us were a used Case 4690 that was followed with an old Steiger st310. Both of those were nothing but trouble and expense. We got a 5,000 hour 8770 to replace the Steiger and found out that it is possible to have a good reliable 4wd tractor.
