seems logical to assume this crop is sub 160 at this point
FWIW, what scouting I have done I am anticipating being about 15-20 under last year
heat just stole too many bushels, as most of my corn never lacked for water
corn is anywhere from dough to dent with a fair bit of nose back
only thing that does help is this cooler weather should pull kernel size up a bit. I was using 95-100K but thinking I can go down to 85-90 now. Last year was 75-80 with more kernels
again the heat just stole too many bushels
and if you can imagine this, the beans look good and are setting pods, and I am afraid the COOLER weather will ding them. I've about decided beans need rain in August and heat in September to make record yields. July they just need to grow.
