Casey Iowa | Some very healthy corn throughout those 5 counties and some corn that is fired past the ear.....not much of the fired past the ear though. I agree with your yield average guess for that area. I was trying to upload some pics of corn on opposing sides of the road and for some reason my phone n NAT are not getting along well enough for my pics to download.
Weather for the whole next month is still very very important to how this crop finishes out. 10 days pushing 100 in the first half of August would be brutal on both corn & beans..... 80's the whole month and 2-3 inches of rain would make for some healthy bean yields and average to a hair over average corn yields possibly.
Next time you are coming thru Adair county let me know and I will buy lunch or beers out in a field!! | |
