| My older sister suffered two years after being diagnosed with cancer. Toward the end the morphine shots were stronger and stronger to keep the pain down. She finally passed away a few minutes after yet a stronger shot was given. In reality the morphine killed her not the cancer. Why did she have to suffer for two years? Most terminal patents hang on to life as long as possible. She was no different. Up until the last few days she kept saying she did not want to die. Toward the end I think she was ready to go because of all the pain. So would it have been so wrong to give her the strong shot at the point when she was ready to go? | |
