I think the best thing to come out of this would not be the profit or loss, but the opportunity to see and understand the paperwork. I never met a farm kid who didn't enjoy running equipment--we all seem to enjoy and get good at that naturally. The stuff that's going to make it possible for them to be in business is understanding the costs and income opportunities in farming.
