West of Broken Bow
Went through this with a close family friend in her 90's. She owned a nice, big place that she and her only husband built. He passed away over 20 years ago. With the help of friends and a couple people she paid, she managed to remain in her own home longer than most. I did everything I could to help her, but had my hands full taking care of my parents and a relative elsewhere.

My family and I would help shop for the lady when time allowed. Fall after fall occurred with her that often required hospitalization. Things progressed to where she needed help bathing and just getting around. It was hard to see her have to give up the place, but even hiring a lady to stay full time just didn't work out. Really needed two people living there to assist. Her home and property finally were sold off last year after the money ran out. It's painful to drive by the property and realize she isn't there anymore.
