Martinton,il | 2012 was a nervewracking year but a very profitable year for me. I started out planting into 60 degree soil on March 21 and harvested well over 200 bushel corn. I got rain that missed my neighbors just a few miles from me in every direction. This was the year that I learned just how much difference fungicides can make in yield, especially in a dry year. I told the pilot not to do a section of a field that had very short rows and that part of the field had died and was falling down and made 52 bushel less than was was sprayed with fungicide. | |
