WC IA | I'd put very little stock in "independent trials," unless they are performed on your own farm and you knew the seed planted was from stock. The name of the game in seeds in the independent and University trials is to win. Period.
I have seen enough over the years to have very little faith in them.
Find a seed rep you can trust. Ask your neighbors what's working for them. Test some products on your own ground. Don't bet the farm on one hybrid.
The cheapest seed may cost you the most in the end, but the most expensive seed doesn't guarantee the best performance.
