Liberty, MO | November 17, 1958 was the day we almost go blown away 8 miles east of Bethany, MO. We, dad, mom, brother, sister, and myself picked up junk for several months, most corn had been harvested in ear, leaned corn crib over some, blew flared and barge boxes off the running gears, blew a shed down on a new Oliver 18 combine, lots of other damages.
We lived on a NEW state road that was still gravel and the state man was grading the road less than a 1/4 mile away, scared the crap out of him too. | |
