Farmington IL | Probably close to 20 years ago a fairly weak tornado hit Farmington and took the roof off of the high school gymnasium just a few days before july 4th. The storm dropped it about 1 1/2 miles east on the farm immediately north of our home farm. It was a field of corn and when they harvested they had alot of tire problems because of it. The roof was full of those nails with the plastic button attached. They got real familiar with the tire guy. We had tremendous hail damage and neighbors another mile east had about 160 acres of corn green snapped and they replanted it to corn on july 3 or something. | |
