West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | MN did a very good, extensive, and I'm sure costly study before they passed the rule. When the trucks set up correctly, although the weights are heavier, they do much less damage to roads and bridges. I'm sure some of that equation takes into consideration the less trips it takes to move the same amount of product. It sure is nice to fill a 10,000 bushel contract in 9 loads rather than hauling 11 loads to fill it legally.
