Depends some on how it was built. If the floor joists are on top of the concrete foundation and the walls built on top of the floor it is a mess. Each floor joist has to be cut out along with the flooring. Normal garage walls are built right on the bottom plate. Depending on orientation the rim plate may have to be removed to install the garage door opening, foundation above the new floor level removed, leaving no support. Other orientation would leave no or little support for the trusses (bearing wall) so would need heavy beam installed to support them. A lot depends on size of house in relation to the garage size and making the break to storage area and the supports underneath. To remove the whole floor leaves little support at the wall/floor/foundation attachment area....James
