I've been on omeprazole for 5+ years and now I'm trying to get off the stuff. Ranitidine seems to be doing a good job if I stay off the high fructose corn syrup. I take 150 mg. in the morning and then another if I get a reaction to something I ate.
Omeprazole has been related to dementia so take it at your own risk. It does work, but not worth the chance.
