rlbsek - 5/6/2016 12:54 I know all of you on here hate DEF but I prefer it to the EGR that was on most engines first or the DPF that most have now. The EGR caused more trouble on the 2005 truck we had and the DPF are more problems than the DEF and more expensive to keep going on the current machines. The fuel use is the best I have seen on the tractors that just use DEF without the EGR and DPF. If the SCR system fails, it doesn't take the rest of the engine down with it like EGR does. |
