Premium subsidies come from the government, the government collects the money needed to pay that subsidization from others who have insurance through taxes on their health plans, medical devices, etc. Money is fungible. Folks who had existing insurance saw their premiums increase to pay the taxes that pay for the subsidized premiums. Why can't you get that. It is a clear transfer of monies from one with insurance to others without.
