North West MO | Sounds like you need to tamp your corner post and seconds better. Your hedge is what keeps the wire tight. Nobody takes the time to tamp the post nowadays. The hedge post need to be put in the ground and tamped tight. Grandpa used to use 12 foot hedge corners 8 foot was on the ground. 50 years later the hedge is still there and the wire still tight. The hedge and how well it's put in the ground is what makes the fence. Red brand is the only kind of wire.
