Subject: Slicing the sack and tetanus

KY
Slicing the sack is another insurance against tetanus. Causative agent of tetanus is an anaerobic bacteria. Opening the scrotum to oxygen will help prevent anaerobic bacteria from growing in there. As others have said, slicing helps them fall off a little quicker.

On something that size I think id run them through and give them tetanus vacc a couple weeks before you band them. Booster tetanus on the day you band them.
