This size can be routinely cut (either pulling or spinning) if you got your TECHNIQUE down pat. While banded bulls do not bleed out, it is not a panacea because it brings on it's own set of potential problems (like tetanus which others have mentioned), so you have to know what you are doing here as well....
I do both and personally prefer cutting cause I know I can prevent bleeding and then it is over-and-done (and I can free up brain cells to worry about other things!) Plus if Garvo buys my calves he can't accuse me of hidden nuts! |
