Tetanus toxoid can be purchased by itself or in combination with other Clostridial disease antigens. I would use a multivalent vaccine (8 way vaccine will have tetanus i think) to protect against the others as well as tetanus.

All of the Clostridial diseases can kill a calf, usually before you even notice it's sick. Tetanus is the exception to that, takes a while but still hard to save them once they start showing weakness.

I believe some on here recommend slashing each testicle open once the band is securely placed to hasten the process of sloughing the dead tissue. Sounds like a good idea to me....Maybe someone will chime in that does that.
