It's hard to say without some more info. But, they say we need to keep our minds active. What about genealogy? Trace out the family history. It can take a LOT of time. Just depends how far back you go. Volunteer. Teach at local high school Ag or shop. Lead a 4H group or Boy Scout troop. Clean up at church cemetery. Fix old markers. Drive someone to chemo or radiation treatments. Visit at local nursing home. Could work part time for whatever interests him. Organize family photos with comments. Either scan to computer or photo albums. Family history is big with me so now is the time to do that while he still remembers and can involve other family members. Get involved at church. There's usually a ministry that needs some help. Like I said, it's hard to say without knowing what his interests are. One of my uncles fishes quite a bit. He said it took quite a while to learn how to enjoy himself. He had to work at it.
