Subject: RE: Banker Says.

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
Guys, I started farming a little over 30 years ago with my parents farm of 400 acres. I just inherited 80 acres of that about 20 years ago. About half farm ground and this is in the western corn belt with wheat, corn, and summer fallow. 60 bu. wheat and 80-90 bu. APH for corn at this time. Had I not grown the acreage I would not be in business today with those acres. NO WAY. NO HOW. I have always farmed full time.
I see other businesses and coops not grow larger and pretty soon they can not afford to make needed capital improvements and they end up having to merge or just sell out to a competitor. It's just the way it is. Very few small businesses can stay small for a very long time.
