South West Kansas | That's not a bad idea... I would have to calve out after corn harvest though... But since I have the facilities and have experience backgrounding. I would pry feed my own calves until they are feeders...but some years that hasn't paid here... Guys have been better off selling off the cow.....and is it just me or is there a stigma around the fall calving cow herds that the calf run in the spring from the fall calvers are notthe quality cattle that the winter/spring calves are in the fall run? | |
