Bred heifers are down substantially from last year and this spring. IF you have the facilities and the know how, buy em, calve them and kick em out on the corn stalks and supplement with DDG's and a little alfalfa or silage. Or do half heifers and half stockers. Then sell when the grass greens up. Or,put one circle into full time forage might make sense, but is labor intensive, and would be a full commitment.
