I have a 92 year old aunt who was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. From what I was told, she will not experience any pain with this tumor given its location in her brain. She has been slowly, but steadily losing control of her voluntary motor control skills. She is being given morphine. Can someone explain the purpose of this? My understanding of morphine is that it is used to alleviate pain. Is there another purpose? Thank you.
How do they know she will not experience any pain? They won't feel a thing, so called experts. |
