Eastern Oregon | Great post. We have a lot in common. I drive my wife nuts micro managing our little farm too. I wise man told me that "better is better before bigger is better". I've taken that to mean that we should practice the fundamentals on a scale that mistakes won't bury you. Trying to cover problems with volume just results in a bigger mess, and it's much better to learn from other people mistakes. This year has been the most challenging, but we're still in the game and a little smarter from the experience. My much more experienced neighbor told me "we always think that we can do better next year. That is what makes us farmers." | |
