Benefits from maintaining/conserving soil quality are the main goal for many. Hard to grow crops around here on hillsides that no longer have topsoil left on them. If guys can figure out how to grow a substantial amount of N prior to a corn crop in a cost effective manner, covers will move past the conservation/fad phase here.
