Around here there are a few guys that try to run like that but some places tell you not to come back if you come in like that. First of all they don't want you pulling on your scale with that much weight concentrated on your tires and second of all they don't want the attention around for other farmers. Ever since Janklow's debacle most guys try to run legal here......at least within 10,000 lbs of legal.

I can remember one time when a certain custom harvester came in to the elevator with a load of wheat on a regular 42' Timpte that weighed 118,000 lbs. I think if they pulled you over the first thing you would do is hand them the keys to the truck plus give them the wheat in it to pay the fines.
