But on 30's you can put the edge of the head between the two rows and run pretty easily. Heck I've done 15's that way for the last three years and been pretty successful (no auto steer here).

A 60" gap because the sprayer ran it over is a bit excessive, that'll lead to excessive yield drag.



Yeah you can cut 30s down the row easily. It will wear the guards and sections faster but you have less of them to change when they wear out so that is a non factor to me.

When planting I wouldn't want to waste time planting out my angle on both sides of the field and then having yield loss from running over beans from spraying just so I could cut them without setting an angle with the combine.
