Subject: RE: Flooded Corn & Beans

North East IL
I don't know what part of eastern, IL this guy was from, but ive been over quite a bit of eastern IL the last week and its pretty miserable. especially around Ron.... Im not going to tell you that every field is a disaster here, nor where Ive been. But just to say 10% is lost, I agree with that, but theres a lot of water damage that I don't believe will ever be the "best" anyways. There are some good looking fields around in the northern half of IL. but theres just as many that make you cringe. COC looks terrible. It seems that some of our corn is going backwards.

Beans wise id say have lost 10-15% of acres at least, but its always hard to tell which ones will die. All of our ponds will struggle to get out before July, and I really don't know how many ponds will get replanted at that point.

Every market expert says rain makes grain..... so we should believe them right?????
