I feel your pain. Many acres like that around me. Lots of corn planted about May 1 that is 8-12 inches tall and yellow. Most of it looks like it hasnt gotten any N but unfortunately I know better. I have fields with 200 units of N that the entire field is that short and yellow, hasn't grown since May.
