I have a female dr. and had one before this one. No problems. they are both "outstanding" so that helps. In the interest of clarity, I appreciate excellence in any form, but I have daughters close to their age.
a good story about a female dr. Last year my female dr. came in with a medical student that was "shadowing " her. the student just observed the questions and most of the exam. at the end my dr asked "would it be ok for my intern to do your prostate exam?". I swallowed hard , replied "anything for the advancement of medicine" and pulled my pants down. It's easy to be humble at that point as I'm just another old fart. . It was over quickly.
I would have told her not , can't practice on my dime and my health. You do it. |
