Wife insisted that I attend the OB visits.The Dr seemed embarrassed when meeting him. I was warned he was shy. But when we got to the exam he was an extraordinaire educator. Same when I was next to the scrub nurse for the C- section. Though we did get in hot water for talking sports during my post delivery anatomy lesson. (Doc started it).  After all that I decided reputation and skill were more important to me. I would prefer wife to be there as she always wants more info than I got.
