Subject: RE: dont put a basement under a house

NEIN
I'm with this guy. We have a full finished basement and other than a teenagers hideout it is a pain in the rear. Washer hose connection was cracked and leaked in the mudroom upstairs, guess where the water went all night? My wife and I rarely go down except to check on things and add softener salt. You just don't use basements like you think you would and stairs become a huge deterrent to the spaces use. Have an unfinished basement and spend a little more on sq feet for at least two first floor bedrooms. Or consider a cape cod with two kids bedrooms upstairs, that will be cheaper. my 2c
