Paradise KS | Being that we are on a budget to get a new house built out at the farm. WE are considering puttling ALL of our bedrooms in the basement. Just like you would on a second story. This would be a walk-out basement with large egress windows.
It's just been really hard trying to find a plan that will work on 1400 sqft that has three bedrooms on the main floor and then having a nice size kitchen dining and living room, while also having a decent mudroom/pantry.
Our thought was to put all the bedrooms in the basement to free up space, as my wife does not want our three year old down there alone if we were to only do two bedrooms in the basement.
My thought then was in a few years we could add a master suite on the main stairs later, and then use that as a guest suite.
My wife isn't too keen on the idea, but im just trying to save us some cost up front. Im not totally convinced myself but it was a thought. | |
