Most of it is from patterns set up from the huge Russian and Icelandic volcanic eruptions starting back in 2011.  So Ironically it is from pollution but on a much larger scale than man could ever achieve in the same time frame.

With the vast majority of the great lakes froze over get ready for massive water fowl deaths, the news can pick up on that and blame global warming, or climate change or whatever they call it that day.
