| He stated above the farms had a previous 100% corn base. Sooooo he (or anyone) can choose to retain (previous corn base) or reallocate (use 2008-2012 acres). Corn is king in this deal so why wouldn't he retain instead of reallocate? In my situation I retained on one farm (was higher corn base because I went to more 50/50 from 2008-2012) and reallocated on other farm because from 2008-2012 I had more continuous corn there for increasing my corn base from previous base number. If for some reason you think beans will be the bigger payout then make your decision optimising your bean base. I feel he just worded it wrong in his original post? | |
