I asked Tara for an opinion. Maybe I should have clarified.
Problem with the whole thing is farmers are being asked to speculate on future price.
I have made up my mind that I like the downside risk protection of PLC
But the reallocation of bases is really the "pot shot" here.
Bothers me that ASCS used to stand for "Agricultural STABILIZTION and conservation service"
this farm bill is designed to transfer market price risk from merchandizers to the farmer.
