Subject: RE: Noodling for catfish?

Concordia Parish La.
Red >< I have never came across one that wintering over, I am told that they mat up in mud along the bank, I also see some big holes in places along some banks, I live right on Lake St John, its my back yard >< I have watched a couple large gators in late Sept. they start hanging around in one spot, don't move far, and run off any other 1 that come near, I think that gator has his hole staked out, and getting ready to winter in, the places I see this happening has a lot of Reeds growing out into the water, and I am not going in there to see where he is, a 10 to 12 ft. gator is one mean Boy, they don't give any trouble, I have never seen one in my back yard, they want to stay away from man, now a Yapping dog down by the water is fixing to get in trouble, there have been a few that got sucked up,

the good thing about having gators in the lake is there are no snakes, I can remember years back when there was a water snake hanging off ever limb, I don't Like Snakes, gators Love Snakes
