Subject: RE: how bullet proof are the mid to late 90s chevy pickups

Pilot Grove, Missouri
Looking to replace one right now. Mine is a 96 K2500 with the 350 and 4l80E auto trans. Truck has 345,000 miles on the engine and drivetrain, other than had one transmission long before I bought it, and front axleshafts, alternator and starter, since I've owned it. Transmission started slipping the other day and it needs tires. Looking to replace it with another similar truck, but trying to find one with a manual trans this time. This truck was never babied by me or either of the previous owners (both used it with a bale bumper). Patrick
