I had a 97 2500 Chevy. It was an excellent pickup. I ran it to 225,000. It still didn't use oil at that time. It needed a starter and a water pump while i had it, that's it. I got it when it was 5 years old and it had 55,000 on it.
I used it like a high speed tractor too, I did a lot of towing with it.
